The engine reads company documents (EU transport licence, CEMT permit, bank account details and the ID of the company representative), driver documents (driving licence, driver card, ID card and residence permit) and vehicle documents (registration certificate, insurance certificate and inspection certificate). It extracts details such as reference numbers and validity dates, and a registration certificate also fills in the vehicle's make, model, VIN and license plate. BA and CMR insurance certificates can be uploaded too, but they are stored rather than read automatically.

Every upload is read and matched against the company, driver or vehicle it belongs to, and a transport licence number is also checked against the official licence registry where one is available. If a document can't be read reliably, doesn't match or has expired, it's flagged in your document issues, stops counting towards your compliance score, and you're asked to upload a clearer or newer copy. A missing or expired transport licence brings the company's score to zero and hides it from the Network directory.

Droppr processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR and Belgian privacy law, and aims to keep processing within the European Economic Area, using safeguards such as standard contractual clauses when it can't. Data is kept only as long as needed: after deletion, operational records are archived for 5 years and binding contracts for 10 years to meet legal obligations, then permanently deleted.
